Find out about DAISY eBooks and the difference they make in making publications easy to access for anyone with a print disability.
The importance of DAISY software again is the ease in which information can be accessed by a person with a disability. DAISY eBooks can be heard on computers using DAISY software. DAISY Software reads the book using the built in text to speech (TTS) plug-in in your computer.
One of the free open source DAISY playback software is the AMIS Player(Adaptive Multimedia Information System). This is a self-voicing player for Windows that works with several screen readers. The player is developed by DAISY Consortium and it is available in several languages including English.
